IMP:Palo powered by Cubeware
IMP:Palo is ETL-freeware for Palo based on Cubeware Importer technology.
With its native functions, Palo can load homogeneous data and create multidimensional cubes from such data. Wherever heterogeneous data is to be imported, heavy-duty transformations are to be performed and a professional approach is required, it is recommended that a specialist ETL tool should be used.
The ETL technology provided by IMP:Palo allows you to merge structure data and transaction data from your operational systems cleanly and quickly, to check and compare this data, consolidate it and to make it available in Palo in multidimensional, modeled form. This opens the floodgates for end-to-end use of the open source database and hence allows you to significantly enhance the benefits it provides.

Benefits for you
- Simple modeling of dimensions and cubes
- Definition of the import process using drag & drop
- Intuitive method of working
- Simultaneous access to a wide range of data sources
- Support for various SQL dialects for data extraction
Convenient handling It is possible to model the import workflow either by dragging & dropping in a graphical interface or by using a script language. The advantage for you is that you are able to carry out modeling with no programming skills and yet still maintain flexibility for more complex tasks. Integrated plausibility checks also allow inconsistent data such as incorrect bookings to be detected.
Access to a wide variety of data sources Data can be extracted and merged from different operational systems simultaneously. All common relational databases and text files are accessed via standardized interfaces.
And if you're looking for even more, simply migrate to the tool the professionals use: Cubeware Importer.
Your import definitions are retained and you have a wealth of new functions available to you, such as job scheduling, automated import, the option of running imports as a service and, of course, support for a variety of different OLAP destination databases (not just Palo).
